Volvo Group has purchased a land plot to build their own Truck Center in DAMU, the first private industrial logistic zone of the Republic of Kazakhstan

MOSCOW, February 22, 2022 – Volvo Group, one of the world's largest manufacturers of commercial vehicles and transport solutions, has purchased a 2.5 ha land plot in the territory of DAMU, the first private industrial logistic zone of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for the construction of a new service center in Kazakhstan. The JLL international company has become a consultant for this transaction.


It is planned to build a new service center for Volvo trucks, with a total area of 2 thousand sq. m., in the DAMU industrial logistic zone located in the industrial center of Ile District, 7 km from Almaty city. The project will be implemented according to the statement of work of Volvo Group on a turnkey basis, with all the necessary utilities and additional equipment. Innovative engineering and modern design solutions will be used in the site construction that meet the international standards of the Swedish concern Volvo. Investments in the project implementation will be about 450 million rubles.

The first private industrial logistic zone DAMU with a total area of 210 ha, is located in the area most in demand among tenants and buyers of land plots in the area between the republican highways and near the airport of Almaty. The main residents of the park are large international companies, such as Leroy Merlin, Henkel, Samsung, Bosch, Toyota, Scania, Karcher, LC Waikiki, Danone, Wilo, DHL, Volvo, etc. A specific feature of the first private industrial logistic zone DAMU is the owner's willingness to work with various formats, including built-to-suit projects of any complexity, as well as to offer for rent and for sale ready-made warehouse, administrative and production facilities with all the necessary infrastructure, including a railway line, utilities and electrical power.
